Predicting the Grammy Winners for 2016

Predicting Some of the Grammy Winners

1. RECORD OF THE YEAR

Uptown Funk

Mark Ronson Featuring Bruno Mars

Thinking Out Loud

Ed Sheeran

Blank Space

Taylor Swift

Can’t Feel My Face

Lots of good choices here but I would go with Thinking Out Loud. The likely winner though will be either Uptown Funk, Blank Space or Can’t Feel My Face.
2. ALBUM OF THE YEAR

Sound & Color

Alabama Shakes

To Pimp A Butterfly

Kendrick Lamar

Traveller

Beauty Behind The Madness

The Weeknd

I would go with 1989. So many hits on that album. Look for either 1989 or Beauty Behind The Madness to win.

3. SONG OF THE YEAR

Alright

Kendrick Duckworth, Kawan Prather, Mark Anthony Spears & Pharrell Williams, songwriters (Kendrick Lamar)

Blank Space

Max Martin, Shellback & Taylor Swift, songwriters (Taylor Swift)
Girl Crush

See You Again

Andrew Cedar, Justin Franks, Charles Puth & Cameron Thomaz, songwriters (Wiz Khalifa Featuring Charlie Puth)

Thinking Out Loud

Ed Sheeran & Amy Wadge, songwriters (Ed Sheeran)
Another strong category but I would go with Blank Space. See You Again is the likely winner as it has won so many awards this award season.
It is a two horse race between Meghan Trainor and Tori Kelly. However, Trainor has put out more hit songs and is my pick to win.
5. BEST POP SOLO PERFORMANCE

Heartbeat Song

Kelly Clarkson

Love Me Like You Do

Thinking Out Loud

Ed Sheeran

Blank Space

Taylor Swift

Can’t Feel My Face

The Weeknd

Very strong category, wouldn’t be surprised if any of the nominees won. However, I would go with Love Me Like You Do.
6. BEST POP DUO/GROUP PERFORMANCE

Ship To Wreck

Florence & The Machine

Sugar

Maroon 5

Uptown Funk

Mark Ronson Featuring Bruno Mars

Bad Blood

Taylor Swift Featuring Kendrick Lamar

See You Again

Wiz Khalifa Featuring Charlie Puth

I would go with Uptown Funk but once again See You Again has been getting all of the awards this award season.
8. BEST POP VOCAL ALBUM

Piece By Piece

Kelly Clarkson

How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful

Florence & The Machine

Uptown Special

Mark Ronson

Before This World

James Taylor

My pick is 1989 and that should be the winner.
